OUR HISTORY

Prairie Advisory Corp. is an independent financial advisory and merchant banking firm, headquartered in Calgary, Alberta, specializing in providing tailored merger, divestment and acquisition services to clients throughout western Canada. Our service offerings include, but are not limited to: valuations, acquisitions, divestments, financings, strategy, restructuring, private equity and competitive intelligence. Prairie was founded in 2010.

James Dyack, P.Eng, CMA, MBA, CBV
Managing Director, Investment Banking

Mr. Dyack is a former Partner at Deloitte and regularly advised on engagements with some of the largest and most well known organizations in Canada. Having been with Deloitte for 14 years, James is well versed and experienced in all aspects of large-cap operations and routinely applies these retained, industry-specific, best practices to engagements involving our clients'. His strength in business valuation enables our clients' to position themselves to raise capital, engage in acquisitions, prepare for succession or divestment, resolve litigation and report to tax agencies or regulatory bodies. Technical abilities aside, Mr. Dyack maintains a macro-economic vision supported by fundamental micro-economic know-how. Prior to his employment with Deloitte, Mr. Dyack was a Design Engineer with the Atomic Energy of Canada.

Jeremy Cheyne, CMA, MBA, CIM
Managing Director, Merchant Banking

Mr. Cheyne is a former oil and gas executive that successfully founded, managed and divested a number of exploration and production related organizations over his professional career. Throughout his oil and gas tenure, Mr. Cheyne managed organizations that completed over $110 million in acquisitions and divestments. His experiences have afforded him a diverse skill and knowledge base that includes, but is not limited to, corporate finance, securities, mergers and acquisitions, operations and strategic planning. With a diverse global network and a keen ability to focus on growth and strategy, Mr. Cheyne is able to consistently implement our clients' core business objectives in order to enhance the extrapolation of stakeholder value.
